> A step-by-step guide to building your own social media posting app without code, using a no-code platform or an AI agent on top of the Ayrshare API.

## TL;DR

This page covers five no-code routes to the Ayrshare API. Four are builder tutorials where you lay out a screen and wire it up: Bubble, FlutterFlow, and Retool. The fifth is newer, and it is the one to read first: the [MCP Server](/docs/additional/mcp-action-server) lets an AI agent publish from a plain-language instruction, and the Ayrshare plugin for Claude Code sets that up in two commands, with validation and a confirmation step before anything goes live.

- The Claude Code plugin installs in two commands. Run /ayrshare:setup, restart Claude Code, and you can publish from a plain-language prompt.
- The agent runs `validate_post` before publishing, so a caption that's too long for X or an image Instagram won't accept gets caught while it's still a draft.
- A `PreToolUse` hook makes the agent ask before every publish and send action. It can't post to a live account on its own.
- Pick by what drives the API. A plain-language instruction points to the agent route; someone clicking a button points to a builder UI.
- Neither route is only for solo use. Both take a Profile Key to target a specific client's accounts, so either can serve a whole customer base, and plenty of products run both on the same API.

_Updated September 2026. This guide originally covered one Bubble tutorial; it now covers all four of our no-code builder tutorials and the Ayrshare plugin for Claude Code._

Building a no-code social media app used to follow a familiar script: pick a platform like Bubble or Retool, design a form, and wire it up to the Ayrshare API. The four tutorials below cover that traditional route, and they still work. But there is now a fifth option. The Ayrshare MCP Server lets an AI agent drive the API using plain-language commands, which means that for some workflows you can skip building a user interface entirely.

## Two Ways to Connect

Both routes interact with the same Ayrshare endpoints, but they are driven by different mechanisms.

- **An AI agent via the MCP Server:** You describe the post, and the agent executes the calls. This covers the Claude Code plugin, an n8n workflow, or custom AI features inside your product. There is no visual screen to design.
- **A traditional interface via a no-code builder:** A user fills out a form and clicks a publish button. This uses Bubble, FlutterFlow, or Retool to call the REST API directly, providing a visual workspace for your users.

Under the hood, both methods rely on the same infrastructure. Every MCP tool call passes through the same authentication, rate limits, quota enforcement, and request validation as the [REST endpoints](/docs/apis/overview).

Neither approach is limited to single users, and you do not have to choose just one. Both methods use a Profile Key to target a specific client's connected accounts, meaning you can serve a single brand or an entire customer base. Many products combine the two: a Bubble interface for customers to schedule their own posts, while an AI agent works in the background to draft copy and handle bulk tasks.

## The Agent Route: Ayrshare Plugin for Claude Code

The [official plugin](/docs/additional/mcp-claude-code-plugin) packages the Ayrshare MCP Server configuration with a setup command, three specialized agents, thirteen skills, and a safety hook that makes the agent ask permission before publishing. Once installed, you describe your post in Claude Code and the agent handles the API calls.

### 1. Install the Plugin

```bash
claude plugin marketplace add ayrshare/ayrshare-social-media-api-claude-plugin
claude plugin install ayrshare@ayrshare
```

### 2. Connect Your API Key

Run the setup command, paste your key from the Ayrshare dashboard, and restart Claude Code. The MCP server reads the key at session start, so a restart is required to pick up a new one.

```bash
/ayrshare:setup
```

### 3. Describe the Post

Tell the agent exactly what you need. For example:

> Draft a LinkedIn post and an X post announcing our new pricing page. Match the tone of my last ten posts, validate both, and show me before you send anything.

### 4. Review and Approve

The agent analyzes your recent posts for tone and runs validation checks against each network's constraints. It catches issues like overly long X captions or unsupported Instagram images while the content is still a draft. A `PreToolUse` hook on every publish and send action means nothing goes live until you give final approval.

## Additional Agent Capabilities

Beyond publishing, these agents cover the rest of the API:

- Schedule posts for later across any mix of 14+ networks in a single request.
- Retrieve post and account analytics to inform future drafts.
- Read comments, post replies, and send direct messages.
- Register webhooks and decode Ayrshare error codes.
- Create client sub-profiles and generate account-linking URLs (available on the Business plan).

The full list of commands, agents, and skills is in the [plugin docs](/docs/additional/mcp-claude-code-plugin). The [launch post](/blog/ayrshare-claude-code-plugin/) has the background on why we built it.

## Using Another MCP Client

Because the plugin wraps the hosted [Ayrshare MCP Server](/docs/additional/mcp-action-server), you can use these same 27 tools in any MCP client. In n8n, add the MCP Client Tool node and point it at the server. Our [n8n guide](/blog/n8n-social-media-automation/) covers the setup and three example workflows.

## No-Code Builder Tutorials

If your users need a screen to look at, these tutorials walk through building functional apps on different platforms. When serving multiple customers, assign each signed-in user a unique Profile Key to keep their social accounts isolated.

### Bubble: A Posting Web App

Post directly from a Bubble form without manually configuring the API Connector, thanks to the [official Ayrshare plugin](/docs/packages-guides/bubble). The video tutorial covers plugin installation, account linking, form layout, and workflow construction.

[▶ Watch: Build a Social Media Posting App with Bubble and Ayrshare](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5e2pcKhkPI)

If you are still deciding on Bubble, we wrote a [longer review of the platform](/blog/the-definitive-bubble-review-a-flexible-no-code-app-builder-growing-over-50/).

### Bubble: A Profile Analytics App

[This guide](/blog/build-a-social-profile-analytics-app-with-bubble-and-ayrshare-video/) uses the API Connector to query the analytics endpoint. It accepts an API key and network list from a form, displays the returning metrics, and covers best practices for multi-user support.

### FlutterFlow: A Mobile Posting App

Build a native mobile app without code. [This tutorial](/blog/build-a-social-media-posting-app-in-no-code-platform-flutterflow/) demonstrates posting text and images to Facebook, X, and LinkedIn right from a phone, then adds a Profile Key so each user of the app posts to their own accounts.

### Retool: An Internal Posting Console

A good fit for marketing teams or agencies needing a shared internal tool rather than a customer-facing product. [The guide](/blog/build-a-social-media-posting-app-with-retool-video/) builds a single dashboard to input text, upload images, select target networks, and monitor API responses.

### AppGyver: A Full Mobile App, Screen by Screen

[This walkthrough](/blog/build-a-social-media-posting-mobile-app-with-no-code/) plans the app architecture before wiring the API, then builds the home, history, post detail, user, and post screens step by step. The structural blueprint is useful regardless of which builder you ultimately choose.

## Choosing the Right Path

| Feature | MCP Server & AI Agent | No-Code Builder |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Driver | Plain-language instructions | A user filling out a visual form |
| API mechanism | MCP tools | REST endpoints |
| Environment | Claude Code, n8n, or embedded AI features | A screen you design and host |
| Setup time | Two commands and an API key | An afternoon |
| Multi-client handling | Uses the profileKey argument per call | Requires a Profile Key per signed-in user |
| Maintenance | Handled via claude plugin update | You maintain the app and UI |
| Best for | Drafting, bulk scheduling, background AI tasks | Customers who require a traditional interface |

## Getting Started

Either way you need an Ayrshare API key. [Sign up](https://app.ayrshare.com), connect your social accounts, and copy the key from the dashboard. There's a [28-day free trial](/pricing/), and the Business plan adds the sub-profiles you need to post on behalf of other people.

## About Ayrshare

Ayrshare is a [social media API](/) that lets you publish posts, get analytics, manage comments, and send direct messages on the social networks directly from your platform. We handle 30M+ API calls a day across 14+ networks. Learn more in our [social media API docs](/docs).

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I build a social media posting app without writing any code?

Yes, and there are two ways. Bubble, FlutterFlow, and Retool can each build a working app on the Ayrshare API, and the tutorials above walk through all three. Or skip the screen entirely: the Ayrshare MCP Server lets an AI agent publish from a plain-language instruction, which the Claude Code plugin sets up in two commands.

### Can I use the MCP Server in an app I build for my own customers?

Yes. The MCP Server is not limited to personal use, and agent builders are its main audience. Pass a profileKey argument on each tool call to target a specific client's connected accounts, so an agent inside your product can post on behalf of any customer. The screen your customers click still calls the REST API; the agent handles anything driven by natural language, such as drafting, scheduling, or bulk publishing.

### What is the fastest way to start posting to multiple social networks?

Install the Ayrshare plugin for Claude Code, run /ayrshare:setup to add your API key, restart Claude Code, then describe the post. The agent drafts it, validates it against each network's rules, and publishes once you approve.

### Will an AI agent post to my live accounts without asking?

No. A confirmation hook covers every publish and send action: creating, updating, and retrying posts, adding and replying to comments, sending direct messages, and setting auto-responses. Each one prompts you before it runs.

### Which no-code platform should I use to build a posting app?

Bubble for a customer-facing web app, FlutterFlow for a native mobile app, Retool for an internal tool your own team uses. All three call the same Ayrshare endpoints, so pick based on who will use the app.

### How do I let my own users post to their own social accounts?

Use a Profile Key. Each user gets a sub-profile with their own connected accounts, and your app passes that profile's key on the call so the post lands on the right accounts. It works the same way through the MCP Server and in a no-code app, and it needs a Business plan.

### Do I need a paid plan to try this?

No. There's a [28-day free trial](/pricing/). Client sub-profiles and the Profile Key need a Business plan.
